Why are some waiters so rude?

What really irks me is when waiters act as if they are
doing you a favor by taking your order and serving your food. Seriously?! That's
their job right!?! They ought to take orders and bring food! They ought to make
your dining experience a good one so that you can enjoy your food and decide to
come back to their place next time.
Some waiting staff in a newly opened café in my
hometown suck. They were barely polite, grumpy, and didn’t seem to have a common
courtesy to all customers. I was really upset by their mediocre service. I
guess the photos I took earlier for a potential blog review would remain in my SD
card for a while. It’s so frustrating! I couldn’t even come up with a pleasant
word to describe their interior nor their food.
The café is just a few blocks away from my house. I
thought it'd be very convenient for my family to dine there or buy whatever but
then I lost my interest. My friend told me I should have complained to
the supervisor but I wasn't in the mood to verbally register a complaint. I
think for now I’ll just block that café from my list.

I think waiters should be the nicest, it's their job. And if they expect a tip, they should. Sometimes people can be rude to them, but they should be kind. Sorry to hear of this, I hope you find a better place x
thanks. i really like the interior of that restaurant @_@ i hope to find a reason to visit there again
I guess some of them just don't like their job and that's why ;p. Someone might just be having a bad day.. try giving them a 2nd chance and if the service is still rude, email to the owner. Or just quit going there ;P

I've been in that situation before. No matter what you're going through or displeased with, they should put those feelings aside when on the job. You're there to be waited on. You're paying money! I feel your frustration.

I've been there before, too. I suppose some of them really don't like their jobs, and it's unfortunate that they take that out on the customers from time to time. I'm glad, though, that my experiences with waiters have been positive for the most part.
Have a happy day!
Hi The Girl with a Muji Hat, our apologies for your bad experience with our wait staff. We will take note and improve on our customer service. We are still on soft opening and thanks for the feed back. Hope to see you on grand opening and hope this time it'll be an enjoyable one. -- AngNewNo
glad they have good food there. but yeah. you will lose all good thoughts about the interior and the food because of the wait staff attitude.
i visit cafes for food and food only. don't really care about the wait staff as long as they will not step boundaries. and with boundaries i mean it literally. i've heard that cafe has good food and with all these comments i want to it try there and see for myself.
thanks sir/ma'am. i really appreciate your concern and your apology more than i can say. i got over with the unexpected experience and went back to your cafe afterwards, actually i went there four times already (twice i found your cafe closed). as ive said i liked the pasta with olives and the coffee coffee caramel. i like the paintings, the music, the wooden chair and that sleek couch on the second floor. thank you for putting up such a lovely art cafe in our hometown. i really look forward to dining there again :)
